How to report an emergency vs a routine request Print

All tickets are typically answered within an hour, but telling us the urgency helps us triage correctly.

It is an emergency if: your site is down or erroring for visitors, you suspect a security problem, or email has stopped flowing. Open a ticket with Technical Support, set priority to High, and put the domain in the subject line. One issue per ticket; a focused ticket gets fixed fastest. Once your ticket is in, if the situation is critical you can also call us at 1-877-655-1555.

It is routine if: nothing is broken for visitors right now: a change request, a question, something cosmetic. Normal priority is perfect.

Either way, include what you saw, when it started, and anything that changed recently (a plugin update, a DNS change, a new developer). Those three facts solve most cases on the first reply.
